CAPCOM NEXT GEN FIGHTER!!! NOT!

The company that has made pretty much more head-to-head fighting games than any other is saying that they can not afford to make a next gen fighter yet... hmmm.

Games like Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Street Fighter 3 Third Strike and now upcoming Ultra Street Fighter 4 that is just another upgrade with 5 new characters. These titles are amongst some of the greatest fighter titles ever, I've yet to mention the cross company titles like Capcom vs SNK & Street Fighter x Tekken. I'm not sure I understand.

I'd like to try to Next-Gen for FG... However we dont have resorce... XO RT @mcmmaster Next-gen port for USF4 would be sweet Ono :D

I am not a Ono fan anymore anyway. His over the top antics and teasing to basically give the fans nothing is the problem. Was I the only one that knew who 4 of the new USF4 characters were? With the 5th character not revealed yet, a lot of SF fans are like who cares!!! There is no reason why Capcom shouldn't be able to bring either USF4 or another fighter title to the Next-Gen consoles

ASAP...

How do you feel about it?

Street Fighter 5 in 2018...

COULD WE SEE "OLD" RYU IN 2018??? That may be the case. In and interview with Capcom's Tomoaki Ayano it was basically pre-announced.
Check out what Ayano had to say below:

Game development is a long and arduous process. If you look at the history of the series, it took six years to go from Street Fighter II to Street Fighter III, and nine years to go from Street Fighter III to Street Fighter IV.

Purely based on that it would probably take us until the year 2018 before Street Fighter V comes out. So I hope everyone will play Ultra Street Fighter IV for a long time.

Many have wondered if Rolento, Hugo, Poison and Elena would be simple copy / paste jobs, but Ayano assured that these characters are undergoing quite a bit of changes and if they were direct ports, they'd be the strongest characters in USF4.

Users do not need to worry, because the new characters will definitely not just be copy and pasted from Street Fighter X Tekken. If we did that, they would undoubtedly be the strongest characters in the game.

The reason for this is down to the difference in gameplay systems, most notably Boost Combos. Boost Combos formed the basis of the battle system in Street Fighter X Tekken and do not exist in Street Fighter IV. Besides adjusting the characters for a game engine without Boost Combos, each will need to have many moves added as well, such as Ultra Combos and Super Combos.

A simple rip wouldn’t allow us to make the necessary changes, so a lot of work is going on behind the scenes.
