PS3/PS4 JOYSTICK COMPATIBILITY

THE PLAYSTATION 4 COMES OUT IN 20 DAYS. HERE IS SOMETHING INTERESTING, REMEMBER WHEN WE DID THE PREVIEW MONTHS AGO AND CHECKED THE SPECS ON EACH SYSTEM??? REMEMBER WHEN IT WAS UNKNOWN ABOUT THE CONTROLLERS AND THE COMPATIBILITY TO THE SYSTEM? WELL TODAY WE FIND OUT THAT THE PS3 JOYSTICKS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH SOME OF THE PS4 GAMES AND ALSO, THE PS4 JOYSTICKS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH SOME OF THE PS3 GAMES. THEY MUST BE PLUGGED IN WITH THE USB CORD AT ALL TIMES THOUGH. 

The PlayStation 4 controller is actually backwards compatible with the PS3 — at least when it's hooked in via a wired connection.

Udetto created a video demonstrating this in action, but he noted games that require a wireless configuration/elements would not be supported by the new PS4 controller, at least currently.

Still, when next generation joysticks start hitting the PS4, it's likely/possible you'll be able to use them on your PS3, which would be a pretty nifty thing to have going for the FGC. Also, if you're a pad player, and like the new controller setup, this is potentially good news as well.

DUE TO RELEASE FOR ALL CONSOLES IN APRIL OF 2014.

CAPCOM NEXT GEN FIGHTER!!! NOT!

The company that has made pretty much more head-to-head fighting games than any other is saying that they can not afford to make a next gen fighter yet... hmmm.

Games like Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Street Fighter 3 Third Strike and now upcoming Ultra Street Fighter 4 that is just another upgrade with 5 new characters. These titles are amongst some of the greatest fighter titles ever, I've yet to mention the cross company titles like Capcom vs SNK & Street Fighter x Tekken. I'm not sure I understand.

I am not a Ono fan anymore anyway. His over the top antics and teasing to basically give the fans nothing is the problem. Was I the only one that knew who 4 of the new USF4 characters were? With the 5th character not revealed yet, a lot of SF fans are like who cares!!! There is no reason why Capcom shouldn't be able to bring either USF4 or another fighter title to the Next-Gen consoles 

ASAP...

At this point, Sony has taken just about every shot at Microsoft that it can. E3 was a bloodbath, where each member of the PlayStation team made sure to target the Xbox One and its not-so-user-friendly policies, and as you’d guess, Gamescom has been no different. Right before Sony’s press event closed, current president and Group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Andrew House made sure to stick one final point to the Xbox maker.

"While others have shifted their message and changed their story, we were consistant in maintaining policies and a model that is fair and in tune with consumer desires," House said.

Of course, this is referring to Microsoft’s numerous changes to its initial messaging for the Xbox One. Kinect is now longer required, there are no online check-ins, and yes, the thing comes with a headset. It’s safe to say that Sony is confident in its product, and it’s not afraid to say so on some of the biggest stages.
